The despicable actions of those who hate us...

Hello members of the MCForge Community,
Today, I announce that we have learned more about what happened the evening of Tuesday, January 24, 2011.
It appears that JacktheKat9 of MCStorm and Former ForgeWare Inc. Chief Legal Officer The_Legacy spent days upon days speaking with our good friends, MCForge Head Web Developer, 501st_Commander, ForgeWare Inc. Head Web Developer Soccer101nic, and ForgeWare Inc. Head Developer, GamezGalaxy. They convinced them there was no hope in ForgeWare, which is not the case, and discouraged them.
Then the whole explosion happened. We all had been having bad days before the whole meltdown that night, 501st included. He was dealing with his family yelling at him the whole day, and was dealing with stress the whole day. We all know that when we are extremely pressured we sometimes do things without thinking, that we regret doing later.
JacktheKat9 and The_Legacy managed to extract some information for an admin account utilized to import the forums posts and users from PhpBB to MyBB, named "MyAdmin", playing off the stress 501 was dealing with to make him, without thinking of the consequences, give out the password. JacktheKat9 and The_Legacy used this account to delete most of the information on the MCForge Forums, as well as all news posts. They also banned Dmitchell94, myself, and 501st_Commander.
Today, I recieved logs from JacktheKat9 that indicated that Jack intended to use the threat of telling ForgeWare Inc. Administration Staff what happened, with the intentions of coercing 501st_Commander to leave MCForge. You can see the skype logs here.
501st_Commander was left with an extreme feeling of guilt after what happened on Tuesday and he decided to tell the ForgeWare Inc. Administration team what happened, before JacktheKat9 got the chance. We have forgiven 501st_Commander for his actions.
However, we have NOT forgiven JacktheKat9 and The_Legacy for what they have done. I post this here with the intention of telling the world what they have done, and to completely ruin their plan of blackmailing 501st_Commander. Do not take any anger you may have out on 501st_Commander, instead take it out on JacktheKat9 and The_Legacy.
MCStorm appears to have been a motivating reason for these attacks. We are not sure if MCStorm was responsible, and hope that we can maintain a cordial relationship with the server software.
We at ForgeWare will take a week long break from development to brainstorm, to recover from the events of the past week, and to regroup. We are not collapsing.

Pretty shitty man. I can't believe that someone would go as far to rip apart a community because it is on a path to downfall. I mean it all seems pretty arrogant. Instead of tearing them down, you should have took it upon yourself to build them up. Also bringing 501 into the situation? That is really low. That is not what a community is and I'm glad they got rid of you. Have a nice day!

The_Legacy, what has MCForge ever done to you? By the way that unknown guy was right, you were going to try to invade MCForge but you failed on that task, Erickilla and Dmitchell im sorry going into this but im very mad. Other then that, leg I will use this word again "threatning". You did this, to forgeware. You had a plan on what to do, hardly I believe your using those proxy site's. I will tell commander about those "sites" that gets past omnibans. Oh I must say that this problem is maybe done. Now go chill at your MCStorm place you have there.

Was The_Legacy the MC-RATER? If so, i could replace him as MC-RATER as im professionally trained to review builds and servers as i have created my own rate system ,which shut down ages ago.

We did not say that our staff made a mistake but in the end the attack was still lead by The_Legacy and it was still The_Legacy who deleted the forums, banned staff members and deleted our back ups.

To EricKilla, all the MCForge Devs and community, I was quite frankly extremely dismayed to find that your services were disrupted, and indeed surprised to see MCStorm's name linked into this at all in this post. I can assure you all that NO members of the MCStorm Dev Staff are in any way linked to any of the events that took place, were not involved and had absolutely no knowledge of what took place. I can also assure you that the whole of the MCStorm community do not condone any of the inexcusable actions that took place whatever they were. JackTheKat9 has always sat on the fence as far as being a community member of both MCStorm and MCForge but has never been in any official capacity (whether Mod/Staff or Developer) at MCStorm, he is merely a forum account holder who participates in the community. I also know that he sits in two chat systems and says exactly what he wants to say in both to play sides off to look bad. And the conversation in the logs you provide are absolutely disgusting, and borderline cyber bullying tactics. I feel for 501_Commander and am not prepared to sit back and let this happen to anyone. JackTheKat9 is history. In light of your post, and having read these logs, I would take that as proof of his involvement and can inform you that with immediate effect I have also disabled JackTheKat9's account on our forums, and will place a post from myself stating the reasons to the whole community. So in summary, whilst, as always I offer MCStorm's hand in friendship, I could just not stand by and see us linked with this in any way so I thought i would post this to you. I offer you my best regards as always. Woldoc

A full recovery is not possible as back ups were deleted and our host was backing up our server files for there daily back up right after the attack. We have recovered what we can
